Before you submit your application

    To request an inspection, click the apply button below to log in to FDNY Business. You will need to enter the following information:

    • The type of inspection or test you are requesting;
    • The specific unit you wish to conduct the inspection;
    • The date(s) you are available for the inspection;
    • A brief description and any supporting documents related to the inspection;
    • Contact information of any relevant individuals at the location;

    Once your request has been submitted a request number will be sent to you for your reference.

    You must follow the directions on the FDNY Business Inspections page for the Inspection type requested.

    Submit the completed application online with all supporting documents.

    You must make payment on FDNY Business to submit your application. To make payments for additional invoiced fees after submission use one of the following methods:


    Online (preferred):
    Online (preferred) Payment can be made online at FDNY Business (credit, debit or e-check accepted)


    US Mail (check must contain FDNY Business Record ID):
    NYC Fire Department (FDNY)
    Bureau of Fire Prevention
